Welcome to the Governors' Page

The Governors of St. Mary's Church of England Primary play a very important and active role in our school community.

The Governing body works with the school on planning, developing policies and keeping the school under review. It's responsibilities and powers are exercised in partnership with the head and staff.

It's purpose is;

to keep up the pressure on school improvement
to be a true friend to the school, in good and bad times, offering support and advice
to help the school to be reponsive to the needs of parents and the community and make the school more accountable to the public for what it does

The Minutes of Governing Body Meetings are available as a hard copy on written request from the Headteacher.
